Panasonic PV-GS250 with a wide angle lense attached.

it's awesome in good light but too dark if it isn't lit well at night, my only complaint.

there might be newer cameras that trump it and cheaper.

just realized something I missed the other night at the track, at 6500 I pulled some timing because I had some minor knock cropped up when the real problem was a tiny lean spot. I restored 2* of timing, added 1 fuel and got my best g-tech run ever on the first try and called it a day:

1/4:
60' 1.66
E.T. 11.78
MPH 116.10

1/8th:
7.52 @ 92.95

0-60 3.33

ahah dang dude nice 0-60. 3.33 is Sweeeet!!!!!

My plan is to stick with the 05' turbo with stainless O2 housing, a tubular borla header, GSC s1 cams (specs are close to 272's), head studs, and an ETS FMIC with upper and lower pipes. (alread have the turbo back exhaust, fuel pump, MBC, Buschur intake, and DV.

I'll of course be going to you with the email tuning- maybe two maps- one for 92 octane and one for 100.

This should be relatively cheap as I'll only have to but the cams, studs, FMIC, and O2 housing, and of course the tune. From what I'm being told I could likely pull a 340-350AWHP and get around a low 12/high 11 with good driving.

yep that'll be a sweet setup and should get you to your goal of ~ 350ish on pump. I think that would be good for low 12's with some great driving but high 11's would be a tall order and might require a sick 1.5x 60' not sure though. A ported intake and 65mm tb might help on pump gas. PPI said they've got mine almost ready, I can't wait to try it out.

I'm still rockin the stock plastic dv lol...need to order up that APS dual vent I've been eyeing

I told big Al I'm ready for an aquamist hsf-5, that's my next purchase as it'll make the biggest difference, just waiting on him to get back to me.

ahah sweet- thanks for confirming my thoughts on my setup. That's all I could really ask for for my budget right now, and 350 on pump is pretty damn good! Would it be possible to do two maps with the tactix cable and software? One for pump and one for 100. Would I be running higher psi on the 100oct map with the 05 turbo?

Oh ya, I also have an unsprung 6 puck clutch to take some of that launching abuse. I don't think I'd ever hit 11's on that setup alone. But I'd be happy with low 12's.

I have the Alumium MR DV. I've tried 3 different BOV's. A FORGE, and Agency Power, and some loud VTA one I forget what it was... But none have run as good as the 100% recirc aluminum JDM MR DV.

np, yeah you would want to get the pump gas dialed in first Package C (you'll need the extra load columns on an evo,

then Package A, pour in the race gas, dial in the fuel, ramp up the boost, dial in the timing. WB02 logging is going to be necessary at this point to get it right.

I think 11's are a good possibility on 100 octane as long as its good fuel, I had a customer with vp109 the other day and it' was about as good as 93 octane for some reason, I hope it was just a bad batch because it sucked arse.

yeah it's hard to beat the MR DV but I plan on exceding the boost it's good for most commonly which is ~ 25psi from what I hear. I haven't tested one personally.

Hmm I wonder if I already have the added columns. Right now I'm running a Buschur tune- I know normally they just ship those to Al- but this was actually a mail-in deal that David did himself. Right now I'm running 10AFR at WOT or full boost. So Very rich.

Yeah the MR DV is good for 25 psi. I don't think I'd go higher than that on my turbo at least so I think it'll be fuine for me. I also might want to get the Forge wastgate actuator as the stocker is known to not hold to strong.

I just picked up a customer yesterday that was tuned by Buschur, his map was scrambled so I couldn't use it...I wouldnt' be surprised if yours was the same way

how much power could you expect to pick up with these mods? 350whp?
only things i wouldnt have is head studs....i dont plan on pushing over 23-24psi, still need my ETS UICP and cams(smp3000 what type of cams do you plan on buying? im prob going for gsc s1 cams), but everything else i already have

Yup Mellon and a few others have told me right around 350AWHP. That's good enough for me for now!!!!

Yeah I'm likely to buy all that stuff in a bundle from ETS, minus the tune. Yep same cams as me!!! I heard the S1's are really good!!!! Unless I can find a pair of HKS 272's for cheap. Unfortunately right now money is the main factory and I hate waiting!

i like HKS and everything but honestly the s1s are the better bet, HKS 272's have proven to prove similar results to s1s and s1s are way cheaper, honestly the HKS cams are overrated...just paying for a name
im going for the s1s, i read the 10 gazillion page thread on evom about cams and the s1s are where its at for price/overall performance gain

350whp sounds good...nxt year its the FPgreen and a built head...and you could be pushing 450whp easy

I think most will agree that the HKS are a good safe cam, not the most agressive. I went with the HKS 280's over other brands because I wanted to retain the stock springs and retainers to keep the cost down. I bought the cams used for ~ 450 I think. It's the only used part on my car.

luckily enough the s1s also dont require you to replace the stock springs and retainers which is another reason why they are a good pick, although getting a built a head is what im going for so keeping the stock springs/retainers isnt too big a deal, but thats about 8 months out...or more

yeah that video of run 3 was from the same night where on run 4 I went 11.91 @ 114 on 93 octane (no additives or preservatives)
